I’m a firm believer in the power of layering for winter. And since I’m already starting to get bored from my winter uniform of a mama-bear down parka, I decided to winterize my faux leather leggings. Leather leggings and a moto jacket are pieces I would wear during transitional weather. So to make them winter-proof, I added lots of layers – a cashmere sweater, a cashmere scarf, and a chunky hat.
A Wool Poncho for Layering in Cold Weather
Throwing a wool poncho over a chunky sweater is a chic way to keep warm during cold days. I’m a big fan of layering. First, you can create new looks out of things you have in your closet anyways, and second, I love to pay with textures.
Long Cardigan and a Leather Skirt
This long cardigan has become my staple for cold winter days. I especially like the look of a long cardigan over a shorter skirt. The layering effect is very cool.
Favorite Pieces: Green Moto Jacket and Ripped Jeans
If I could put all my favorite pieces of the season into one outfit, it would look something like this – ripped jeans, a suede green moto jacket, and a bag with a chain strap.
Fall Neutrals with a Military Jacket
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I live in neutrals. And this outfit sums up my fall neutrals – greys, military greens and black. And you probably also know that I live in my military jacket. It’s my staple for spring and for fall. And cool summer evenings. And it fits easily over sweaters, so I can wear it even on mild winter days. So you see, I try to wear my military jacket all year round.
