Favorite Pieces: Green Moto Jacket and Ripped Jeans

redbag_12If I could put all my favorite pieces of the season into one outfit, it would look something like this – ripped jeans, a suede green moto jacket, and a bag with a chain strap.

I resisted getting ripped jeans for a long time. I can’t wear them to work, so I considered them such a frivolous buy (that’s the litmus test for most of my clothing purchases – can I wear it to work?). But I love the look on other people, so I finally gave in. But at least I put my foot down that I wasn’t going to pay full price for a pair. I got these Blank Denim jeans on sale.

And I love the fit. Most ripped jeans that I’ve tried are skinny and supper tight, so my skin starts to bulge out after a few minutes of wear. But these jeans have a slightly straight/boyfriend jeans fit, so there is no bulging in the knees.

And can we talk about this green moto jacket? A dream. I can fit it over my sweaters and the sleeves areĀ  soft enough so I can push them up. The moto jacket look is so in right now, so I’m glad I found a jacket that works for me.

Although, I was looking at my closet the other day, and I definitely have a thing for (military) green jackets. I have a winter parka, a leather jacket, this moto jacket, and a rain field jacket, all in a similar shade of green. I think I need to do another post about my favorite jacket color.
