My statement skirt is my life saver during transitional fall weather. I usually go for clean, simple and grey (notice the sweater and the boots), but when it comes to skirts, I love ones with flowers and interesting details.
Transitional fall weather is tricky to dress for. The weather is still warm enough to wear sandals really, but I’m itching to wear my new boots and favorite sweaters. So that’s where skirts come into pay. You can go bare legged and enjoy the warm autumn sun, but at the same time get to wear boots and sweaters. I’m attracted to statement skirts because almost everything else in my closet is so minimalistic. So skirts are a great way to introduce some texture and colors (more so than pants, I think).
I love to pair skirts with ankle boots. And especially ankle boots that come a little high up on the leg, almost midi-length. I think the midi height is very chic and looks very elegant when paired with a skirt.
