I usually keep things simple, white, black, grey, denim. But when it comes to accessories, I love to add a pop of color with a colorful bag. And I have a soft spot for pink. I have pink high heels, pink sneakers (just got them and you’ll see them in an upcoming post or my Instagram feed) and pink bags.
Try a Classic White Shirt
I adore a good, classic, white shirt. I have a thing for button up shirts to begin with, but white ones top my list. I love the crispness and simplicity. I could probably fill my closet with white shirts and black pants and be completely happy and satisfied. There is something so appealing about that. I would never have to worry about what to wear to work again.
Sweater and High Heels
Opposites attract. And mixing delicate with chunky is a secret style weapon (like mixing high and low). So mixing high heels and a sweater, like these delicate, strappy heels and a super chunky sweater, always appeals to me. Examples of mixing opposites are everywhere on style blogs – like a biker leather jacket paired with a long, flowing dress, or tall boots and a short summer dress, or a suite jacket and worn-out jeans. But those are not the only styling tricks you can use.
The Return of Wide Pants
One undeniable truth about fashion is that nothing lasts forever. And while I love skinny jeans more than anyone I know, I’m so happy about the return of wide pants. These pants are so liberating.
Work Capsule Wardrobe – The White Shirt
It’s a staple, it’s a classic, but it doesn’t have to be boring. Don’t underestimate the power of the white shirt as an essential part of your work capsule wardrobe.
How to make it your capsule wardrobe staple
Paired with slim black pants and worn slightly loose, the classic white shirt becomes sexy and desirable. If the shirt and pants are well cut, you need little else to make you look good. A nice pair of shoes and a minimalistic hairstyle, and you are ready to go.
When it comes to a capsule wardrobe, less is more. And minimal is chic.

If a pared down take on the classic white shirt is not for you, try a look that incorporates a white shirt with a bit more detail.
